EAST DIVISION

HITTER OF THE WEEK
Brett Rosen, 2B, Sr., Texas-Dallas
Texas-Dallas senior second baseman Brett Rosen (Plano, Texas / PHS) homered three times in a doubleheader sweep of Austin College and went 7-for-13 over three games – all wins by the Comets. Rosen, who takes the division’s top weekly award for the second time this season, had 11 RBI and walked three times. He scored six runs.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Shawn Ashley, LHP, Sr., Mississippi College
Mississippi College senior left-hander Shawn Ashley (Terrell, Texas / THS) had a complete-game win against East Texas Baptist to help the Choctaws clinch a berth in the ASC tournament. Ashley struck out nine batters, scattered four hits and didn’t allow an earned run over seven innings. He also threw a scoreless relief inning with a strikeout against Belhaven.


WEST DIVISION

HITTER OF THE WEEK
Jason Foley, 1B, Jr., Texas Lutheran
Texas Lutheran junior first baseman Jason Foley (Friendswood, Texas / FHS) hit three home runs and had 10 RBI in a series win over Sul Ross State. All three long balls – including a grand slam – came on Saturday, as the No. 8-ranked Bulldogs picked up two victories. Foley batted .500, walked four times and had at least one RBI in each game.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Kyle Martin, LHP, So., McMurry
McMurry sophomore left-hander Kyle Martin (Fort Worth, Texas / Univ. of Dallas) picked up two wins and a save over three relief appearances. Martin earned a win against Wayland Baptist on Tuesday, then defeated Concordia-Austin on Friday with 2 1/3 perfect innings and two strikeouts. On Saturday, he worked the final 3 1/3 innings of the ASC series, allowing three hits with three strikeouts for the save.

HITTER: Mary Hardin-Baylor 1B Steven Reinlie batted .556 with two homers and a double in a sweep over Schreiner. . . . Concordia-Austin’s Ryen Pounds hit two homers and a double in a series against McMurry. . . . Ozarks DH Robby Finnell had four two-out hits – three for extra bases – and drove in six runs in a series sweep of Louisiana College. . . . Mississippi College 2B Hugh Brown hit two home runs in a series sweep of ETBU that clinched a ASC playoff berth. . . . Texas-Tyler OF Andrew Damewood batted .538 and hit two homers in two days against LeTourneau. . . . McMurry INF Steven Yurchick went 7-for-13 with nine RBI in a series against Concordia-Austin.

PITCHER: Hardin-Simmons RHP Lance Johnson went 8 2/3 innings with one run in his first start, against Howard Payne, and pitched a scoreless sinning in relief against Texas Tech. . . . Texas Lutheran RHP Adam Enloe won his fourth straight start, beating Sul Ross State with a complete-game five-hitter. . . . Mary Hardin-Baylor’s Zack Tumlinson tossed a complete-game with eight strikeouts against Schreiner. . . . Ozarks’ Curt Dixon pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts to beat Louisiana College. . . . Texas-Tyler RHP Brett Holland struck out eight and carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning of a division-clinching win over LeTourneau.
