Storms Delay Start of ASC Tournament Championship Round

RICHARDSON, Texas --- Despite tarping, Wednesday’s heavy rain and high winds combined to saturate the Texas-Dallas baseball field and force a one-day delay to the start of the Championship Round of the American Southwest Conference Baseball Championship Tournament Series.

Play is now scheduled to begin Saturday with the 11:00 game between Texas Lutheran and Ozarks. The Texas-Dallas vs. McMurry game follows at 3:00 p.m. Bracket games continue on Sunday with the championship contest slated for Monday at 1:00 p.m.

Tournament updates will be available at the UTD athletics website.

REVISED SCHEDULE / May 3

SATURDAY, MAY 5
Game 6: 11:00 a.m.
Ozarks (Winner Game 3 Series) vs. Texas Lutheran (Winner Game 4 Series)

Game 5: 3:00 p.m.
Texas-Dallas (Winner Game 1 Series) vs. McMurry (Winner Game 2 Series), 3:00 p.m.

SUNDAY, MAY 6
Game 7: Loser Game 5 vs. Loser Game 6, 9:00 a.m.
Game8: Winner Game 5 vs. Winner Game 6, 12:00 p.m.
Game 9: Winner Game 7 vs. Loser Game 8, 3:00 p.m.

MONDAY, MAY 7
Game 10 / Championship: Winner Game 8 vs. Winner Game 9, 1:00 p.m.
Game 11 (if necessary): 30 minutes after Game 10
