WEST DIVISION

HITTER OF THE WEEK
Kyle Harvey, OF, Jr., Texas Lutheran
Texas Lutheran junior outfielder Kyle Harvey (Houston, TX / Houston Christian HS) paced a 4-1 week by the Bulldogs by racking up 11 hits, including one home run, one triple, one double and 11 RBI. Harvey was also 5-for-5 on stolen base attempts. He walked once, scored seven times and drove in a career-high seven runs in a come-from-behind win over Howard Payne.

CO-PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Robert Conley, RHP, Sr., Texas Lutheran
Texas Lutheran senior right-hander Robert Conley (Cameron, TX / Yoe HS) recorded two saves and a win, and did not allow a run over three appearances that spanned five innings. Conley’s win came in the West Division series-deciding Game 3 against Howard Payne. Batters hit just .188 off him.

Ethan Morrison, RHP, Sr., Concordia Texas
Concordia Texas senior right-hander Ethan Morrison (Austin, TX / McNeil HS) struck out a career-high 13 batters – one off the ASC record – in a seven-inning West Division win against Sul Ross State. Morrison allowed just one run and did not walk a batter.

EAST DIVISION

HITTER OF THE WEEK
Eric Wait, OF, So., LeTourneau
LeTourneau sophomore outfielder Eric Wait (White Oak, TX / WOHS) paced a doubleheader sweep and the YellowJackets’ first series win over East Texas Baptist since 1996 by batting .571 with one double and six RBI. Wait, who did not strike out in the ASC East Division series, went 3-for-4 with four RBI in Saturday’s opener.

CO-PITCHERS OF THE WEEK
Brett Holland, RHP, Jr., Texas-Tyler
Texas-Tyler junior right-hander Brett Holland (Lindale, TX / LHS) threw a complete-game with just one earned run to defeat Ozarks 2-1 in a battle of nationally-ranked teams. Holland, who earns the division’s top pitching honor for the second time this season, scattered six hits and struck out seven batters over the seven-inning frame. He threw six straight scoreless innings to end the game.

Jonathan Russell, RHP, Sr., Mississippi College
Mississippi College senior right-hander Jonathan Russell (Quitman, MS / QHS) went eight innings and struck out 10 batters to defeat Texas-Dallas on the road in the opener of the East Division series. Russell scattered eight hits, allowed just two runs and walked one.

HITTERS: Mary Hardin-Baylor C Brady Honeycutt hit two home runs in eight at-bats, including a grand slam that proved to be a game-winner against McMurry. . . . Concordia Texas OF Nick Cemerk went 7-for-12 with six RBI over a series sweep of Sul Ross State. . . . Schreiner’s AJ Mann went 6-for-13, including a walk-off homer to beat Hardin-Simmons. . . . Howard Payne 3B Like Leftwich went 3-for-6 with a homer in two games against TLU. . . . Texas-Tyler C Corey Farra hit three doubles in a 2-1 series win against Ozarks, including batting in the tying run of both wins. . . . Ozarks SS Cory Briggs went 6-for-13 with a homer in a series loss to Texas-Tyler. . . . Mississippi College OF Brannon Walls went 6-for-12 with four walks over a 4-0 stretch.
PITCHERS: Schreiner RHP Kevin Jones held Hardin-Simmons to one hit over seven innings and got the win. . . . Mary Hardin-Baylor RHP Tanner Vaughan closed out two wins over McMurry, not allowing a walk over 3 2/3 innings of work. . . . Howard Payne RHP Adam Garcia worked seven innings to beat Texas Lutheran. . . . LeTourneau RHP Travis Norris allowed just one earned run over eight innings to beat ETBU. . . . Ozarks RHP Curt Dixon allowed just five hits over six innings in a 2-1 loss to Texas-Tyler.
