More news about: Edgewood

The Edgewood College baseball team faces a crucial week with four games against teams that share the same Northern Athletics Conference record. The Eagles, Marian University and Wisconsin Lutheran College all share sixth place in the league. The top six teams will qualify for the NAC Tournament in May.

Saturday's doubleheader will have live video and live stats. The links will be available on EdgewoodCollegeEagles.com. Edgewood College will videocast and provide live stats for all home baseball games this season.

Marian University leads the all-time series against the Eagles 30-25, but Edgewood College has been closing the gap rapidly. The Eagles have won 14 of the last 18 games against the Sabres, including five consecutive wins at Stampfl Field. The Eagles swept Marian in Fond du Lac last year 11-4 and 8-3. The Eagles held a 15-game winning streak over Wisconsin Lutheran in 2009, but the Warriors have earned a split with Edgewood College in each of the last two seasons. All-time, the Eagles hold a 35-19 lead over the Warriors. Last year at Stampfl Field, the Eagles won game one 6-3, but lost game two 10-7.
