    No. 7 Panthers Complete Comeback, Sweep Hendrix CONWAY, Ark. – No. 7 Birmingham-Southern baseball scored eight unanswered runs to come back and defeat Hendrix College 8-7 in game one of the Southern Athletic Association doubleheader Saturday afternoon. The Panthers (18-5, 7-1 SAA) then shutout Hendrix to win game two 3-0 off the arm of Stephen Himic (Birmingham, Ala./Indian Springs HS), who went a full seven innings and didn't walk a single one of the 29 batters he faced.

    Giants Split CSAC Doubleheader With Cavaliers Radnor, Pa. – Keystone College and Cabrini University split a Colonial States Athletic Conference baseball doubleheader on Saturday in Radnor with the Cavaliers claiming a tight, 3-2 victory in game one before the Giants rebounded for a 13-3 win in the nightcap. Keystone is now 8-6 overall this spring and 2-1 in the CSAC while the Cavaliers sit at 7-6 on the year and 1-2 in league play.

    Stormy Petrels Sweep Doubleheader over Sewanee with Offensive Explosion The Oglethorpe baseball team swept a doubleheader from the visiting Sewanee Tigers Saturday afternoon in Tennessee, allowing them to take two of three from the Tigers for the series. The Stormy Petrels fell behind 6-2 in the third inning of Game 1, but outscored Sewanee 10-1 over the remainder of the contest and 24-2 over the remainder of the afternoon for a pair of huge SAA victories. The wins improved the Petrels to 11-11 overall and 3-6 in conference play.

    Crazy Eights: WPI Scores Eight in the Eighth to Win Second Game of NEWMAC DH vs Wheaton Northboro, MA --- Sophomore Steven Gallagher (Coventry, RI) batted 4-for-5 and freshman Tyrone Patterson (Upper Marlboro, MD) highlighted an eight run eighth inning in game two as WPI and Wheaton each won a game Saturday at the New England Baseball Complex. The Engineers rebounded from a 10-5 loss to secure an 11-8 victory. Junior Brady Furdon (Natick, MA) struck out a career-high 10 batters in game one while classmate Chris Ruocco (Lexington, MA) batted 6-for-8 with a walk, a pair of RBI and five runs scored on the day for Wheaton.

MARY'S CITY, Md. -- The Christopher Newport baseball team ran it's win streak to ten on Saturday, sweeping St. Mary's College of Maryland in a conference doubleheader to improve to 19-9 on the season, including 9-0 in league action. The Captains leaned on strong pitching once again, getting a complete game win out of senior Michael Thomas in game one, 4-2, and sophomore Logan Harrelson anchored a nice day from the staff in game two, as CNU went on to win 7-3.
