March 30, 2018 Carthage skipper reaches 900 wins It was a historic day at Augie Schmidt Field on Friday, as Carthage swept a two-game series against Illinois Tech, 13-3 and 15-0. The win in game one on was #900 for head coach Augie Schmidt IV, the 13th ever to accomplish the feat.

May 13, 2016 Illinois Wesleyan Eliminates Carthage from the CCIW Tournament The Carthage College baseball team (19-22, 11-10 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) saw its 2016 season come to an end on Friday afternoon, May 13 with a 7-6 loss to Illinois Wesleyan University (23-18, 13-8 CCIW) in the second round of the CCIW Baseball Tournament at Swanson Stadium/Brunner Field in Moline, Ill. Illinois Wesleyan scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth after Carthage scored five times in the top of the inning to tie the game, 6-6.
