The Lancaster Bible College baseball team swept its second straight North Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader on Friday, defeating Keuka, 6-3 in game one, and holding on for a crazy 13-11 game two victory. The Chargers are now 14-9 overall and 4-3 in NEAC play, while the Wolves dropped to 7-11 overall and 1-3 in conference action.

Lancaster Bible 6, Keuka 3 -- Game 1
Game Notes:

-After recording two outs to open the game, Lancaster Bible starter Dan Zimmerman ran into some trouble and hit Tyler Krowiak with the bases loaded to give the Wolves an early 1-0 lead
-Lancaster Bible got the run back in the bottom of the second when Jacob Schenk singled to left field and scored Josh Mayer
-The score remained 1-1 until the top of the fifth when Keuka took a 2-1 lead on a single from Kyle Colegrove
-The Chargers responded in the bottom of the inning when Will Welsh singled and scored Sam Taylor, and Braden Elliott hit a sacrifice fly later in the inning to give Lancaster Bible a 3-2 advantage
-Lancaster Bible built its lead to three, 5-2, in the bottom of the sixth when Schenck smacked a two-run home run to center field, scoring Tommy Croke who had pinch run for JJ Sanchez
-The Chargers tacked on another insurance run and then held off a late push from the Wolves to take game one, 6-3

Inside the Box Score:
-Lancaster Bible and Keuka each had nine hits in game one
-Sam Taylor finished 3-for-4 with two runs, while Welsh was 2-for-4 with an RBI
-Schenck was 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored, while Mayer was 1-for-3 with a run scored
-Zimmerman earned the win for Lancaster Bible, as he threw 5 2/3 innings, scattering seven hits, while striking out eight

Game Notes:

-Keuka scored seven times in the top of the first inning, as the Chargers committed three errors, and starter Kyler Ebersole allowed five hits
-The Chargers got a run back in the bottom of the inning when Mayer was walked with the bases loaded, to make it a 7-1 game
-Lancaster Bible exploded for five runs in the bottom of the second, highlighted by Welsh's three-run bomb to right field, and trailed just 7-6 after two innings
-Ebersole battled and settled down after the first inning, and got the Wolves to go down in order in the third
-The Chargers tied the game at 7-7 in the bottom of the third, as Cohick scored when Taylor reached on an error
-Lancaster Bible then took its first lead of the game when Mayer tripled home Welsh in the fourth inning...Cohick hit a sacrifice fly later in the inning to make it a 9-7 game in favor of the Chargers
-The Chargers would eventually lead 10-7, but Keuka scored four times in the top of the seventh to re-take the lead, 11-10
-In the bottom half of the seventh, Taylor and Elliott reached base and with one out, Welsh hit his second three-run home run of the game, to give the Chargers a 13-11 advantage
-Keuka put two runners on base in both the eighth and ninth innings, but Lancaster Bible's relief pitching was up to the task, and freshman Trevor High earned his fifth save of the season, striking out Anthony Mashewske to end the game

-Keuka had 12 hits, while Chargers had nine in game two
-Welsh finished 3-for-4 with six RBI and three runs scored...He now has 12 home runs this season
