Five runs in the top of the ninth lifted Cairn to a 14-11 win over the Centenary in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Monday afternoon. Jacob Allen went 3-for-4 with two runs scored out of the leadoff spot for Cairn while Daniel Morales finished 4-for-6 with three RBIs and two runs scored.
Morales earned the win on the mound in relief action. He threw the final 1.2 innings and allowed just two hits.

A bloop single over the head of Linfield third baseman Alec Cook with two outs in the top of the ninth inning broke up a combined no-hitter but Linfield nonetheless went on to earn a 9-1 Northwest Conference victory and a series sweep of the Whitman Blues Monday afternoon at soggy Roy Helser Field. The game was played a day later than originally scheduled, due to heavy rain storms that passed through McMinnville on Sunday. Winners of eight-straight Linfield is 22-14 overall and completed its NWC schedule with a 16-8 record. Needing just one win in the series to reach this week's NWC Tournament, Whitman's postseason hopes were ended with a record of 18-20 and 12-12 in the NWC. With Linfield'd loss, George Fox earns the final spot in the NWC tournament.

In other action Sputhwestern defeated No. 1 Trinity (Texas) 8-7, Huntingdon blasted Oglethorpe 11-1, and Webster leads over Fontbonne 9-6 late in their SLIAC contest.  All other games were postponed or moved to a future date.
