UNION, N.J. – Fifth-seeded William Paterson's (25-15, 10-8 NJAC) New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Baseball Tournament run came to an end May 3 after a 7-0 loss to top-seeded and No. 5/4 Rowan (30-9, 14-4 NJAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- An error, two walks and a base hit handed the Profs a 2-0 first-inning edge.
- Rowan added two more runs in the fifth thanks to two doubles and a single, then made it 7-0 in the sixth with a pair of walks, two base hits and a sacrifice fly.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Five different Pioneers contributed a hit.
- Senior Eric Rosenberg suffered the loss after allowing five runs (three earned) on five hits and seven walks while striking out four during 5.1 innings as the starter (5-3).
