August 15, 2018 McLain to head D'Youville Spartans D'Youville school officials announced the hiring of Kyle McLain as head coach of the D'Youville baseball team. McLain comes to the Spartans via a conference rival as he served as pitching coach for the Medaille Mavericks for the 2018 season.
March 13, 2018 UMass Boston stays on top, Frostburg joins in UMass Boston holds on to the top ranking followed by UW-Whitewater, Washington and Jefferson, North Central (Ill.), and Trinity (Texas) rounding out the top 5 teams this week. Frostburg State jumps into the poll in the 14th spot.
March 3, 2018 Case upsets W&J, Cortland survives scare Case Western made a statement on Saturday sending No. 4 Washington and Jefferson to a season opening loss. At Johns Hopkins, Rutgers-Camden made a bid for two upsets, claiming a win over No. 7 JHU but losing narrowly to top ranked Cortland.
February 8, 2018 Mideast Regional Preview Last year it was Washington and Jefferson who took the mantle as Mideast Regional champs and the Presidents ended the season with their highest ranking and a runner-up finish in the D-III World Series. W&J will be in the national spotlight again in 2018.
May 29, 2017 Presidents veto Cal Lutheran in Game 1 Washington and Jefferson took a big step to their first baseball championship with a 12-2 win over Cal Lutheran in the opening game of the 2017 NCAA D-III Championship Series.
May 28, 2017 Derek Helbing has a big bat, for a closer Washington & Jefferson catcher Derek Helbing has hit 12 home runs in his life, all this season. And he's grown into the closer role for the Presidents as well. But he doesn't particularly like to talk about himself. We worked on that part.
